Yamaha DS9XPSII DTXPRESS II Drum Kit Reviews
Feature: Great kit......see above book.
Quality: It's Yamaha...it's quality
Value: it's pricey...but isn't all e-drums
Desirability: sexy
Sound: Let's face it, it's electronic, anyone thinking they are going to get anything close to the real deal is crazy! I've played on/owned the roland V-drums. They are very pricey! The feel is great. They are great for practice. All electric drums are great for practice! Seriously, if you want an electric drum sound in a band...go buy a cheap keyboard and use the pre-programmed drum kits! Again, awesome for practice! I use them to practice to not wake up the kiddies...however...why waste huge amounts of money on somthing trying to sound like the real thing!!!! Here's an idea, buy THIS Yamaha kit, then buy a DW custom or Yamaha Maple Custom (7 ply).....Go get a Pearl kit, a Ludwig, or an another brand of REAL drums! Roland....not trying to knock ya...because I owned your V-drums with the Td8....(then dumped it all on ebay) but c'mon.....$2500-$4500 for Electric drums!!! Seriously!! Ok, I'm done, my advice...buy these...they're great!! Neat features...PLEASE don't go waste a tone of money on this stuff!! Just advice for the rookies......I assume any other drummer in the business may know better.
Support: no need
Overall: I"ll be satisfied until it breaks and I can't 'practice' with headphones.
