About the Washburn X27 7-String Electric Guitar
The X27 features a Basswood body for a comfortable feel and huge tone. The satin-finished Maple neck includes a slim profile that makes this guitar extremely easy to play and a Rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets. In order to have a powerful 7-string guitar the pickups have to be hot enough for the job. The X27 comes through with flying colors because of the 7-pole humbuckers that deliver a crushing tone with a lot of detail. The X27 also includes sealed die-cast tuners, a string-thru-body, an adjustable bridge and black hardware.

Feature: The knobs are simple enough, and the 7th string would be nice if...
Quality: There is some pretty bad fret buzz on the G string and the the low B. The pickups aren't aligned with the strings.
Sound: I'm a bit spioled by my George Benson but the X27 is kind of lame. My wife's SG wipes the floor with it and my George Benson in turn wipes the floor with that. The low B is half the volume of the other strings and the tone knob seems to be sort of on/off. The two pickups together aren't bad but each alone is flat.
Ease of Use: Nothing complicated or difficult about it's use but it's "playability" is not so high. The action and the neck don't feel especially great.
Support: no opinion
Overall: It's a cheapo guitar and I'm returning it. I don't enjoy playing it.
