Feature:
The carry bag was better than the one provided for my 7506's, very stylish and cool under a black light. The long coiled cord and swivel earcups are a plus too (sort of - read on).
Quality:
These headphones are great.........at first. If you are researching about the swivel cylinder ear piece cracking, you've got another victim.I realized the headphones just get "stretched" over time. The more you wear them, the less snug they fit on your head, and then eventually the plastic swivel cylinders crack and fall off. This is all from easy home use, not clubbing every night. Out comes the JB weld.
Value:
I gotta say......for the price, and for how long they lasted, there are better headphones out there. :(
Desirability:
Props on the looks though, Sony.........these are hot headphones.Until they are covered in adhesive.
Sound:
The sound is killer. Best pair of headphones I've ever owned, better quality than my 7506's and pioneers. Great bass and great overall sound.
Support:
Sony sucks for service on everything.....so I didn't even bother contacting them.
Overall:
Now that I've heard the rampant occurances of the swivel ear cylinder cracking, I won't own another pair of V700's. But I loved the sound of both my 700's and my 7506's, so I will probably end up getting the V900's, or if I can get my ears under a set of CD-3000's and see what all the fuss is about, I may go with those.
