Feature:
The control panel is a bit sparse, but now that I understand it I really do admire it's simplicity. I wish the MIDI ports were on the back of the unit but I can't complain there because I have the USB MIDISPORT 8x8 for MIDI connections anyway.
Quality:
I have had no quality issues with this unit. It works exactly as advertised and has made me a happy camper. I may purchase a second unit- you may run out of input ports quicker than you think because of stereo pairs.
Value:
It's the best bargin out there- although if I had realized I was going to need more inputs I might have looked at the MOTU offerings closer. Also, in this shifting era, one might now begin to look at offerings that include lightpipe, spdif, and 193 Khz ability if you really want to look to the future.
Desirability:
Looks like I'll be buying a 2nd unit to allow for all the inputs I have.
Sound:
The sound is right on the money- no issues here at all. The converters seem to live up to their reputation. I cannot speak as highly of the MIDIMAN USB Quattro, which did have a few small issues.
Support:
I rated them an 8 but I've never had to contact them. Product works as advertised.
Overall:
I really like this unit. It has never given me any problems. I do sometimes wish it had more LEDs on the front for that "cool" factor, but hey this device does the job and in my DAW, it is the heart of everything that happens.
