About the JBL EON 518S Powered Subwoofer (500 Watts, 1x18")
The EON518S is an 18-inch, direct radiating, high performance powered compact subwoofer system. Designed to extend low frequency performance of any EON system. It also offers the convenience of an integrated crossover and stereo loop-thru capability. The EON518S is comprised of a 460 mm (18") Differential Drive(R) woofer driven by a 500 watt Class-D digital amplifier.

Sub sounds great and you can't beat if for weight, price, punch and overall quality.. HOWEVER, I have blown out the"input section" of the built in amplifier a few times.. JBL has been good about replacing, BUT I still have to get it to them... UGH!! and now am buying a second just to act as a back up to the first one I bought.. that sucks.
