About the Ibanez JTK1 Jet King Electric Guitar
Ibanez guitars are normally known for their sleek, futuristic looks but the latest Ibanez offering looks some of the funky old axes the company put out in the early to mid-60's -- something you might found hanging in an old pawnshop. Which is exactly the vibe the new Jet King models were designed for. In contrast to Jet King's old school appearance are modern coil taps (accessed with the vintage-look rocker switches, high output pickups and the kind of quietness of operation that was unheard of in the "good old days."
Ibanez JTK1 Jet King Electric Guitar Reviews
Feature: I dig the coil taps.
Quality: I would like for it to stay in tune better, but the metal pickguard is slick. Get it set up though, for sure.
Value: 300 is cheap for a guitar this good.
Desirability: This guitar just came out when I bought it, and I bought it pretty much on looks alone (which is stupid, but I lucked out on this one). You can't help but dig it.
Sound: Fantastic. I never thought I'd use the coil taps that much, but I do now, and it opens up a lot of tone you'd usually never get in one guitar. Not too aggresive, but definately not subdued either. Take to a shop and get it setup and sounds even better.
Support: Haven't needed it.
Overall: I'm in college, so this is it for awhile, and I'm nothing but satisfied with it.
