1987. The same year the Ibanez RG loudly ascended the thrown as the king of the hard rock guitars, the Ibanez S guitar debuted only a little more quietly. The slim Mahogany S was more than just a warm, fat sound in a tight, thin body. The S was a guitar for players who weren't afraid to be different. And those players came from every genre: death metal, fusion, ska, you name it.

the good feature to add to this guitar is an effects pedal. i use a boss distortion pedal
Quality:
from ibanez, this is one of the best guitars for that price. parts will most likely last a long time
Value:
in my opinion, everyone has the right to rate the value. i get very good use of this guitar and to value for me is 10
Sound:
i have owned this guitar for about a month and i love the sound that it makes. i use this in my band and i also play the bass guitar. i always must lend my guitar to the other guitarist when i play bass. and i also got a great deal on it at the local guitar store. if your ever in pennsylvania stop by K and S music for great deals

i did get this from our local guitar shop but i had to order it through them in the color i wanted. i ordered it on a monday and got it on that thursday it was very easy to get.
Overall:
i believe if i purchase a new guitar i will get another ibanez because i love the quality for the price
