About the Fender VibroKing Custom Guitar Amplifier

The Vibro-King Custom is a new evolution of Fender’s venerable tube amplifier, as seen on countless stages around the world. This 60-watt, completely hand-wired combo amp with a Birch ply cabinet is now covered in Black with the appealing “1964 Transitional” Blackface/White knob look. Fender has added a pair of powerful all-new USA-made 6L6-GE Groove Tubes™ for more rich, full tone than ever.

Fender VibroKing Custom Guitar Amplifier Reviews

Feature:
REVERB, REVERB, REVERB!!!!!!!!

Value:
ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH 2 GRAND, JUST AS MANY OF THE NEW "BOUTIQUE AMPS"AREN'T WOTH THEIR PRICE.BUT YOU KNOW,...IF YOU PRICE SOMETHING REALLY HIGH, SOME PEOPLE, (MANY PEOPLE) THINK IT MUST BE BETTER THAN THE LOWER PRICED ALTERNATIVE!AND THAT'S BULL.

Sound:
I wish Fender would have had the forethought and common sence to add an overdrive switch to what is one of their most expensive amps! And to add a'fat' switch (which merely, raises the mid-range; Big deal)is virtually useless. If I want more mids I'll turn the knob my self. And to add so much ("importance?!) to the reverb on this amp is just plain dumb!I mean, just how important is reverb?!Enough to have three knobs right at the top right corner (the first thing you see) to regulate this wonderful, marvelous, indispensable thing called echo or reverb.I HARDLY EVEN USE IT! I PREFER A NATURAL DRY SOUND WITH JUST A TOUCH OF REVERB. I DON'T FEEL IT'S THAT IMPORTANT TO LITERALLY DESIGN A WHOLE AMP AROUND IT! AND THAT'S SEEMINGLY WHAT THEY'VE DONE.SOUNDS KIND OF STUPID AND SHORT SIGHTED, HUH?WELL, THATS EXACTLY WHAT I THINK!I mean, for 2 grand, along with the reverb, they could have thrown in a chorus, or as I said previously, a pre amp!So this is my whole review. The sound sounds like an average fender amp. Not bad, not super great. But as for intelligent design, this amp is lacking it pathetically. And I bought it (sight unseen) and am I sorry I did.
