About the Fender Classic 70s Stratocaster Electric Guitar (Rosewood, With Gig Bag)
The U-shaped neck, large headstock, and "bullet" truss rod are unmistakable features that define an era. Now made at Fender's manufacturing facility in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, this beautiful replication has it all. Deluxe Fender gig bag included.
Fender Classic 70s Stratocaster Electric Guitar (Rosewood, With Gig Bag) Reviews
Feature: large heastock, "Tusq" style nut, "F' stamps on the tuners and on the neck plate, vintage slotted tuning pegs...that's about it (3 bolt neck is still a major negative in my book)
Quality: the neck was practically swimming in the neck pocket...didn't touch the sides by a long shot (had to get a tech to cram a big leather shim to keep the neck from moving). The "Natural" body was 4 pieces of wood ALL IN DIFFERENT SHADES. The poly coat was ridiculous and wastfully thick. Guitar wieghed 10lbs, easy.
Value: only buy it used just for the parts, because the body is really bad. I'd "downgrade" to a Highway 1 over this any day.
Sound: pickups are weak and the vintage trem kills any resonance
