About the Boss ME50 Guitar Multiple Effects Processor

The ME-50 Guitar Multiple Effects is a floor-based multi-effects processor built with the ruggedness and simplicity of a stompbox. Designed to work with your amplifier, the ME-50 focuses on killer multi-effects (like COSM overdrive and distortion) rather than amp modeling. And dialing in your tone is easy, thanks to dedicated knobs for each effect section, three footswitches and a built-in expression pedal. So if you want great-sounding effects without all the menu surfing, the ME-50 is everything you need.

Boss ME50 Guitar Multiple Effects Processor Reviews

Feature:
could have included the ac power adapter with the unit. The no name batteries are okay but...

Quality:
It seems really well built - like a tank. The ac power cord dealie is a piece of plastic and i can see that breaking fairly soon.

Value:
bank for the buck it is the best hands down. I could have spent much more buying each individual effect.

Desirability:
High sex appeal. I wans looking at the line 6 Pod and bought this instead.

Sound:
I use a lot of Fender Strats, Wayne, and Jacksons with Marshall and Fender amps. Nothing is really anymore noisy than any other effects I have. The hollow and acoustic sims are a joke. Some of the distortions and overdrives sound nothing like they are suppose to, like the TS 808. The 808 does make a good clean boost to pump out some great leads. The noise gate is very effective. Most of the other effects are very nice.I have read where some users don't like the distortions at all, well all you have to do is turn down the pedals master a little and the feedback problem is solved. Use your head a little here people and let your amp do the work. I play a lot of covers from a huge selection, everything from Thin Lizzy, Rush, Hoobastank, Zep, Metallica, Ted Nugent, SRV to Anthrax and UFO;making music just so much easier.

Support:
Havne't had to use so i give it a satisfactory level.

Overall:
eas of use, ease of use, ease of use... If it were lost or stolen, i would replace it.
