About the Alesis Sanctuary QCard (QS Series)
Designed for the creation and reproduction of spiritual music for places of worship, musicians, and composers, the Alesis Sanctuary QCard offers a complete collection of instrument, choral, and special effect sounds for this genre. This card includes an excellent selection of organs that range from subdued electric tonewheel and combo keyboards for somber contemplation to jubilant cathedral pipe organs for exalted praise.
Alesis Sanctuary QCard (QS Series) Reviews
Feature: A big variety of sounds to choose from, and all tweakable at every level. If only the sounds were better...
Quality: No probs with this one, but we had a Classical card go south after only 18 months.
Value: It's a good price, but given the lack of useful patches, you're getting only what you pay for. Maybe not even THAT much.
Desirability: After I left my church job (where I DID use the card), I found one of these used for $15 and snatched it up. Still haven't used it though.
Sound: Some interesting sounds, but little of value in a liturgical environment. The pipe organ sounds were particularly unconvincing. There may be a church where this kind of stuff is of value - but not any church I ever worked in.
Support: Ever since Numark took over, the support policy has absolutely sucked.
Overall: There ARE good Q-cards - vintage keys and vintage synths are both great. I'm hoping the Classical Piano one is good too - I'll be buying one soon. But THIS ine just doesn't cut it.Your mileage may vary.
